2025 STIHL Pole Pruners HTA 160

The STIHL HTA 160 cordless pole pruner efficiently supports professionals in tree care, local authorities and agriculture and forestry when pruning trees, removing dead wood and breakage caused by storms.

The powerful EC motor of the STIHL HTA 160 is powered by lithium-ion batteries from the STIHL AP System. The lightweight, robust magnesium transmission supports easy manoeuvring. You can use the pole pruner to cut branches and trees up to 20 cm in diameter. Thanks to the professional telescopic shaft with a particularly rigid square profile, the desired overall length of the HTA 160 can be easily adjusted up to 405 cm with quick adjustment. This enables exact positioning and precise cutting even in higher areas of trees. You can even work up to a height of around 5 m for thinning out treetops. The HTA 160 can be used with STIHL 3/8" P saw chains, such as the STIHL 3/8" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3) chain or with 1/4" P-STIHL saw chains, such as the 1/4" P Picco Micro 3 (PM3). No ear protection is required with 1/4" STIHL saw chains, so you can also work in noise-sensitive areas.

• IMPROVED REACH. The telescopic shaft allows you to work at height from the ground. This is ideal for trimming high-up branches or cutting tall hedges. The telescopic shaft can be adjusted without tools.

• REMOVAL OF LOOSE CUTTINGS. Thanks to the sturdy branch hook, you can remove loose and cut branches from great heights.

• LOW WEIGHT WITH HIGH DURABILITY. Especially in the professional sector, low weight is of great importance for work. Thanks to the use of lightweight magnesium, you benefit from weight reduction without any compromise in terms of transmission robustness. This relieves the strain on you as you work and ensures that the power tool has a long service life.

• OPTIMAL ENGINE COOLING. The air filter with fine metal mesh cleans the air and in this way ensures optimum engine cooling. As it is itself easy to clean, it also offers a long service life.

• DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE POWER TOOL. With this power tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP-System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.
